Abstract. In this paper, we consider a splitting positive definite mixed finite element approximation scheme for parabolic optimal control problems with an integral constraint. The main purpose of this paper is to derive the convergence and superconvergence of numerical solutions for the control, state, and adjoint state variables. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the convergence and superconvergence results.
